Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using FindYourU (findyouru.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service. We may update these terms at any time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

Description of service

FindYourU is an informational platform that helps students and families research colleges using federal data, synthesized school insights, and profile-based matching tools. FindYourU is not affiliated with any educational institution, does not make admissions decisions, and does not guarantee any particular outcome for users.

Paid products

FindYourU offers paid services including My Schools (school comparison) and Full Profile Match (deep quiz). Payments are processed securely by Stripe. All sales are final once results have been generated and delivered. We do not offer refunds for digital products after delivery. If you experienced a technical issue that prevented results from being generated or displayed, contact us at support@findyouru.com within 7 days of purchase and we will work to resolve it.

Dashboard access and data retention

Paid results are saved to your account dashboard for your convenience. We make reasonable efforts to maintain access to saved reports, but we do not guarantee indefinite storage. If you cannot locate results in your dashboard, contact support@findyouru.com and we will assist in recovering or regenerating them where possible.

Data freshness and re-purchase

College data — including tuition, admission rates, graduation rates, and school insights — is updated periodically as new federal data and other sources become available. Reports generated more than 12 months ago may reflect outdated information. We recommend running a new report annually to reflect current school circumstances. Re-running paid products after 12 months may require a new purchase. We do not automatically notify users when their saved data becomes stale.

No guarantee of accuracy

School data on FindYourU is sourced from the U.S. Department of Education College Scorecard, Google Maps, Walk Score, and other publicly available sources. We make reasonable efforts to keep data current, but we do not warrant that any information is accurate, complete, or up to date. School circumstances change. Always verify information directly with institutions before making enrollment decisions.

Not educational or financial advice

FindYourU provides informational content only. Nothing on this site constitutes educational counseling, financial aid advice, or a recommendation to attend any particular institution. School matching results are suggestions based on self-reported preferences and publicly available data — they are not professional assessments. Users are encouraged to consult qualified counselors and financial advisors.

Acceptable use

You agree to use FindYourU only for lawful purposes. You may not use the service to scrape, reproduce, or redistribute our content commercially; attempt to circumvent payment or authentication systems; impersonate another user; or interfere with the service in any way. Accounts found in violation may be suspended without notice.

Intellectual property

All content on FindYourU — including text, design, code, quiz questions, and synthesized school insights — is owned by or licensed to FindYourU. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission. Federal data sourced from College Scorecard is public domain. Google Maps data is subject to Google's Terms of Service.

Accounts and security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized account access. FindYourU is not liable for losses resulting from unauthorized account use due to your failure to protect your credentials.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FindYourU and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including decisions made in reliance on information provided. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Travis County, Texas. You agree to attempt good-faith resolution before initiating legal proceedings.
